We joined Moana Skies for a Lunar Tour. The team were hugely welcoming and enthusiastic. They provided hot chocolate and blankets to keep us warm. Brian led the tour and he was a wealth of knowledge about all things space. He answered any questions that the group had and guided us through some of the key stars and constellations in the southern hemisphere before moving onto focus on the moon. The telescopes were amazing and gave great views of the stars and especially of the moon! Huge thank you to Brian and the team for an amazing evening!

Our group of five enjoyed a private stargazing tour from a friend’s deck, and it was truly a breathtaking experience. We were captivated by the Milky Way, shooting stars, satellites, and even a meteorite burning its way across the night sky. Viewing through the telescope added another level of wonder, while one of the guides provided clear and fascinating explanations of the stars and formations using a laser pointer. The evening was made even more special with a delicious home-cooked hot dinner, wonderful company, hot chocolate, warm blankets to wrap ourselves in, and comfortable chairs to relax in while watching the stars. For us, it was a five-star experience filled with genuine Kaikōura hospitality. We would do it again anytime. With great appreciation to my friends and Moana Skies. We will always remember this experience. Thank you.
