My husband and I rented an e-tandem bike to do a section of the Great Taste Trail, and it was AMAZING!! We have been dreaming about tandem biking for a while, so it was awesome to finally do it. We got set up with the bike quickly and got some great recommendations on some stops to take. Tandem biking was a lot harder than either of us anticipated, but once we got a hang of it, it was a blast! I would absolutely come back here to rent for longer and see more of the trail

Hired bikes here back in early March to take on a bit of the Great Taste Trail and really glad we did. We had a full day hire and we didn't quite make it to Rabbit Island - so from this I would recommend trying the one-way trip where they pick you up at Mapua after the ferry. That said, we had a great time and found the local cycling infrastructure to be pretty good. There are two main ways you can head south out of Nelson, along the coast or down the suburban cycle track; we definitely recommend the latter as its a lovely quiet cycle way zipping past parks and people's back yards, while the coastal route gets really noisy from the main road. Thanks a million to Kiwi Journeys!

We had a great time doing the one way bike hire from Nelson out to Mapua - lovely way to see the sites and experience the food and drink!
